Let’s lay our cards on the table – we are not doing a conference for a conference’s sake. The conference has one simple aim: to do something astounding for Christians in business.

We’ll have great speakers, practical teaching, faith and vision imparted, and a great time networking with each other. Over the next few weeks we’ll have more of the details ironed out and will post details about them.

We are holding the conference on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 November 2010. It will be in Liverpool, England and everyone will be welcome.

The conference will have a key note speaker where we’ll all be together. At other times, we’ll break off into different seminar streams where you”ll choose where you want to go, and each seminar will have a short presentation (18 minutes or under*), group interaction and discussion with clear action points that you can take away for your own marketplace.

There will be opportunity to network and we are also developing a mentoring challenge that you’ll hear more about.

We’ll make sure that the multimedia will be of suitable standard (no death by PowerPoint here!) and that you’ll go away with an en-thuse.

Who can come?

Well, anyone is welcome.

Bear in mind, though, that we are aiming the conference Christian business people- so entrepreneurs, business people, sole-traders, partnerships, business leaders, managers and directors from the public, private sector and third sectors – so all the teaching and presentations will be geared towards this.

Born out of vision

In 2008 Matt Edmundson set up a school of business at Frontline Church in Liverpool (the notes and podcasts are available for download still by clicking here). The reason he started the school was out of a vision that God gave him about journeying (literally walking on water) with Christian business people and resourcing them for their calling.  Various people came to the school including business men from established businesses to people who were thinking about starting a business. We had directors and managers there. The only problem was – mainly local people came as it ran every other week on a Thursday evening. That said, Pete did come from Birmingham each week which was impressive commitment.

We had good feedback and there was a real interest in what we were doing. And, as with all things run by business people, the next time had to be better and reach more people. Rest assured this desire for greater impact is from God as he took the plans that I had and seriously stretched them until they became bigger than me. En-thuse is the result of that faith vision.

En-thuse 2010 is all about you, becoming more enthusiastic, more inline with God’s purposes for your life, your business and your world.  Get inspirational messages from international speakers, get practical tips for how to do life well and get motivated to take your business to the next level.  God’s intention is for you to be successful, for your business to do well, to generate wealth and for your influence to increase, alongside you honouring him.  Let’s do this together and see our businesses, lives and world change.

*The 18 minutes promise – we really want you to have a great time with us. Keeping the presentations to 18 minutes or under keeps the content, fresh and very to the point. If, for some reason, the speaker goes over 18 minutes, they’ll have to donate £250 for each minute (or part thereof) to a charity of our choosing.
