Daniel Pink on the surprising science of motivation at TED Global 2009
Here at En-Thuse, we really like TED.com. If you haven’t been and had a look yet, then we strongly suggest you check it out.
This particular gem was discovered by Simon O’Shaughnessy (part of the En-Thuse team). Dan Pink shares the latest findings on the science of motivation and looks at the mismatch between science and business. Interestingly he talks about the new findings of autonomy, mastery and purpose and focuses specifically on autonomy (this will be trusting people to do what they say they’ll do).
Grab a cup of tea (or coffee if that’s your “thing”) and watch this video. It lasts just over 18 minutes and you’ll enjoy it.
